После многих фразовых глаголов употребляется герундий: it's no use, to be worth, to be capable of, to look forward to и др. Мне кажется, что базовый пример немного некорректен, т.е. непонятно, надо ли полностью включать все пояснения в перефразированном варианте, поэтому взяла пояснения в скобки)

1. The museum isn't worth going to (as it's almost closing time now).
2. Russian rural churches are worth visiting (because they are so beautiful)
3.The new display in the London Transport Museum is worth seeing (because it' s so exciting)
4. This TV programme wasn't worth spending my time (because it was so stupid)
5. The show was worth staying till its end (because the most interesting thing happened at the end)

Светлана! Структура worth + V ing переводится как "стоит сделать что-то".
Ваш пример будет переводиться как "Этот путеводитель стоит попробовать(использовать)".
Приведу еще примеры:
The book is worth reading-Эту книгу стоит прочесть
The film is worth watching- Фильм стоит посмотреть
The country is worth visiting-Эту страну стоит посетить.

4. The results obtained gave the stability of the system under conditions given below.
